Trend of Foreign Tourist Visits in the Conservation Area of the Cenderawasih Bay National Park (TNTC) with Special Interest on Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus)

Tourist areas have a significant role in several aspects including economic, social and environmental. The national park has considerable potential the aspect of tourism. In addition to having mega biodiversity, Cenderawasih Bay National Park (TNTC) also strong special attraction term whale shark, available year-round. Therefore, foreign tourism at TNTC is very high much demand by both local tourists. By processing visitation data, we were able obtain trend potentials supporting carrying capacity shark areas. Through these estimated number visitors 2020 was obtained. Data performed country grouping quantified tourists visiting TNTC. determining visitors, it found out intensity visit each countries which are targeted for TNTC’s future promotions. Countries with suitable promotion targets Australia, USA, UK, Germany Switzerland.
